The FL2 by Jose Ramirez is an excellent flamenco style acoustic guitar. The top is made from solid spruce while the back and sides are made from solid cypress. The combination of these two woods produce a bright tone with incredible projection, just what you want for flamenco style music. It's the one and only student guitar made by Ramirez.
The scale of the FL2 is 25 - 3/5". The guitar is finished to a very high standard and together with its lacquer finish, is a very nice instrument to look at. Many owners have remarked on its quality even when compared to more expensive flamenco guitars they also own in their collection. Ramirez guitars typically give you a sharp attack with plenty of volume and a quick decay and this model is no exception. Even though Ramirez regard it as a student guitar, it's certainly a very serious student guitar!
The FL2 Flamenco comes with a humicase showing just how serious the manufactures are about the quality of the instrument they are building. This kind of case provides the most ideal environment for which to preserve the woods from any kind of degeneration over many years.
Aside from it's looks and build quality the FL2 delivers most where it really matters - its flamenco sound. It's genuine and authentic so anyone seriously into learning Spanish guitar could do a lot worse than invest in this particular model. It's sure to reward your hard earned technique and years of practice with authentic flamenco tones and fire.
The FL2 carries that typical flamenco shape which make these kinds of guitars instantly recognizable. I think it would be a joy to any guitarist just to own a typical and well built example of this kind of flamenco instrument.
